Elgin police want help identifying a man wanted in connection with a rape.
The sexual assault took place about 3 a.m. Oct. 23 in the 1600 block of Larkin Avenue. A man threatened a woman in her 30s with a sharp instrument and forced her into his vehicle, police said. He drove them a short distance, where the attack occurred.
He was driving a red cargo van that had no side windows. Police were seeking a black man in his 30s, about 6 feet tall and of medium build.
