The 5th Annual Black Playwrights Festival begins at 7 p.m. Monday at Black Ensemble Theater (4520 N. Beacon St.). The festival, which runs through Dec. 14, dedicates the first night to readings by female playwrights. Tickets are $10 per night or $30 for the festival.
