West Englewood fire displaces 3
A small fire on the roof of a West Englewood apartment building Wednesday left three people displaced from their homes, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported in the fire, which broke out about 4:45 p.m. at a building in the 6500 block of South Ashland Avenue.
Man charged with DUI in fatal crash
An Irving Park man has been charged with drunken driving after a crash on the Northwest Side that killed his friend, police said.
Police say Matthew Talavera, 23, had a blood-alcohol level of .270.

The parent company of Uno Chicago Grill filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Wednesday as it pursues a $142 million debt-for-equity deal. Its restaurants — including those in Chicago — are expected to stay open.
