Chicago Fire Department officials said 11 people were taken to area hospitals — including 7 children — after a two-vehicle crash on the South Side Sunday afternoon.
The children were taken by ambulance to area hospitals in fair to good condition and three adults were also transported in fair to good condition, Fire Department spokesman Quention Curtis said. One adult was hospitalized in critical condition, Curtis said.
The crash occurred about 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of 68th Street and Racine Avenue, Curtis said. The crash involved two vans and required several ambulances, Curtis said.
