A pedestrian was struck by an auto and seriously injured this afternoon at a Near North Side intersection, a fire official said.
The pedestrian was hit near Dearborn and Walton streets about 12:18 p.m., said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Chief Joe Roccasalva.
The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, Roccasalva said.
Police had no information immediately available.
