The Daily Herald reports: A judge on Thursday ordered a 74-year-old man committed to a state mental institution for 60 years in the 2008 stabbing and beating death of his wife. Former Palatine resident Albert Rumlow in February was found not guilty by reason of insanity in the December 2008 slaying of Janet Rumlow in the couple’s home in the 1000 block of East Grissom Drive in the northwest suburb.
