Apparently, Courtney Love has heard the rumor (reported in a British tabloid) that she chose “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson to play her late husband, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, in a movie about the band.
And, apparently, she is not amused.
“Isn’t that so stupid, who would cast him? That’s just wrong, no offense (to Pattinson),” Love told The Canadian Press.
But Love can rest easy: On Wednesday, Universal pictures confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that the Pattinson casting rumor is false.
Love’s preference: Ryan Gosling or James McAvoy, she told The Canadian Press.
Book squirm
Stephenie Meyer’s book series was ranked No. 5 on the annual report of “challenged books” released Wednesday by the American Library Association, The Associated Press reports. Vampire novels have been a target for years, notes Barbara Jones, director of the association’s Office for Intellectual Freedom.
