A student at New Trier High School was taken by ambulance to Evanston Hospital today following an altercation on school grounds, Winnetka police said.
The ambulance was called at about 12:30 p.m. and police are still investigating what happened, Winnetka Deputy Police Chief Patrick Kreis said.
The student suffered facial injuries, but it was not known how serious they are.
