A trash can fire triggered a horde of emergency vehicles to rush to a Loop high-rise building this afternoon.
Firefighters were summoned to the 14th floor of the building at 1 E. Wacker Dr. about 1:30 p.m. to douse the flames from the receptacle, which sent smoke throughout the floor, officials said.
No one was hurt and the fire was extinguished immediately upon the firefighters’ arrival.
