We spent this past weekend in Chicago for the very first time, arriving late for Game 3 on Friday night of the Hawks versus San Jose. Great crowd and a great game.
Upon leaving the United Center and being unfamiliar with the city, we noticed several CTA buses out front of the UC. The CTA representative directing passengers informed us that these buses were heading downtown. Upon getting on the bus, we were informed that exact change was required, and only having $20 bills and larger, we exited the bus and pondered our next move.
The CTA representative saw our dilemma and arranged with the driver to for us to get on board, costing us nothing in the process.
This small single act of kindness caught us totally off guard and made our night, in addition to setting the tone for a fabulous weekend in a spectacular city.
Thank you and hats off to the representative, and the CTA, for this small but important act of good will.
This has a great reflection on the CTA, and all citizens of Chicago.
Chicago is my kind of town! Great water front, very clean city and a unbelievable skyline. Chicago has it all!
See you again!
