What it is:

A bike-sharing system operated by Bike and Roll Chicago for B-cycle, a partnership that includes the Trek Bicycle Corp.

Membership fee:

$35 for 30 days, $45 for 60 days and $55 for 90 days, with a $10 discount for students and seniors.

Pick-up locations:

McCormick Place, Museum Campus, Buckingham Fountain, 541 N. Fairbanks Court, Daley Plaza and the John Hancock Center.

How it works:

Riders swipe their membership cards to unlock a bike, which comes with a lock, lights and a basket but no helmet. The first hour is free; each additional half hour is $2.50. Without a membership card, daily rides start at $10 an hour, $40 a day max.

Drop-offs:

Any pickup spot, plus Navy Pier, North Avenue Beach and Millennium Park, where Bike and Roll has rental stations.
