Desir (c)e Rogers, the former White House social secretary, has been named chief executive officer of Johnson Publishing Co., which produces the magazines Ebony and Jet.
In July, Anne Sempowski Ward, the former president and chief operating officer of Johnson Publishing, said she was stepping down, which prompted speculation that Rogers, recently named a consultant to Johnson Publishing, was in line for the job.
