Lovie Smith has been second-guessed about the strategy to single-cover standout receiver Calvin Johnson on the controversial second down non-TD catch with 24 seconds remaining.
“Our defensive scheme is pretty good,” Tillman said. “It seemed to work out the whole game. On that one particular play, Calvin just … he went up and got the ball. It was an outstanding play, but he didn’t come down with control when the ball hit the ground.”
