If there was any doubt about bias in the media it was eliminated Wednesday. The media allowed President Obama to deliver a partisan campaign speech which was purported to be a budget address, and even worse, today’s news coverage failed to admit that. In fact, even the Tribune labeled its editorial “Obama gets in the game” (April 13). A more appropriate headline would have been “Budget address was a campaign speech.” Can you imagine the outcry if President Bush had delivered such a speech? He would have been vilified from now until Christmas!
