The SouthtownStar reports: A power struggle between the mayor of south suburban Sauk Village and trustees came to a head Monday when two trustees ordered that locks at the village’s police station be changed, leaving Police Chief Robert Fox locked out.

The move followed months of strained relations between Mayor Lewis Towers, who hired Fox last November without village board approval, and board members who have tried to limit Towers’ power.
