Chicago band Hairbangers Ball rocked in the Kia Track’ster — a concept based on the carmaker’s best-selling Soul.
“It’s built from the dreams of our California design studio,” said Tom Loveless, Kia’s vice president of sales, who moments earlier touted Kia’s status as the fastest-growing carmaker in the U.S., having posted its 17th straight month of sales gains in January.
Driving that is cost of ownership, a category in which Kia was ranked lowest in the industry by valuation site kbb.com.
Helping out is its early success in auto racing — Kia was the 2011 Grand-Am champ. “We will continue to focus on racing, the fourth largest sport in the U.S. — behind the NFL, the MLB, and college football,” Loveless said.
