President Barack Obama’s comments about the Supreme Court highlight precisely why we have to maintain limits on the scope of government. Well-meaning officials, like the president, can easily assume they know what is best for citizens (whether citizens see it the same way or not). It scares me that the president first trampled on religious freedom and rights of conscience and then threatened the Supreme Court.
