Pamphilon says he released Williams’ recording legally
Filmmaker Sean Pamphilon denied a charge made by former New Orleans Saints player Steve Gleason that he released a recording of former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams illegally.
“We do have a production agreement that I followed,” Pamphilon told Yahoo! Sports. “I can’t understand why Steve would think it’s in his best interest to prevent me from telling the truth about Gregg Williams.”
Gleason stated on his website on Friday that he felt “deflated and disappointed” that Pamphilon released Williams’ recording.
Pamphilon released audio this week of the suspended Williams instructing his defensive players to target San Francisco 49ers players before their playoff game last season.
Gleason, who has the fatal Lou Gehrig’s disease, was working with Pamphilon on the film documenting his battle.
