The Hotel Sax Chicago in the Marina City complex will soon be under new management, with Las Colinas, Texas-based Access Hotels & Resorts taking the reins from Thompson Hotels.
Access and Sax owner, LaSalle Hotel Properties, could not be reached for comment. Outgoing general manager Michael Carsh, a Thompson employee, attributed the split to a “philosophical difference.”
The change takes effect Tuesday. Thompson had managed the hotel, 333 N. Dearborn St., since Dec. 1, 2009.
