Notre Dame picked up a sizeable recruit on its spring game weekend.
Four-star offensive lineman John Montelus made an oral commitment to play for the Irish starting in 2013, the player
confirmed on his Twitter account

Montelus is a 6-foot-5-inch, 295-pound four-star prospect, per Rivals.com, ranked the No. 214 player nationally in the Class of 2013. He reportedly had offers from Florida, Michigan, Nebraska and Ohio State, among others.
Montelus projects at guard for the Irish though he’s a tackle for Everett (Mass.) High School. He made a pledge to Notre Dame only days after reportedly naming Florida the leader for his services. The Irish now have 11 commitments in the Class of 2013 cycle.
