Boxing great Ali honored for fights outside the ring
PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) – Heavyweight boxing legend Muhammad
Ali was honored on Thursday for his humanitarian efforts and
civil rights work at an awards ceremony in Philadelphia. The
$100,000 award called the Liberty Medal, sponsored by the
nonprofit National Constitution Center, was presented to Ali by
his daughter, Laila Ali, a former boxer herself.

Pacquiao set for December 8 bout with Marquez – reports
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Filipino southpaw Manny Pacquiao is
expected to return to the ring on December 8 for a fourth fight
against long-time rival Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico,
according to several media reports. Promoter Bob Arum told
Reuters on Thursday that fight negotiations were being hammered
out this week with a decision likely in “a couple of days.”
