Tulsa 27, Fresno State 26: Halfback Trey Watts threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Thomas Roberson to cap a 13-point Tulsa comeback as the Golden Hurricane edged visiting Fresno State.
The Golden Hurricane (3-1) were down 13-0 less than six minutes into the game and finally overtook the Bulldogs (2-2) on Wattsâ?? high-arching throw to a wide-open Roberson with 2:52 left in the third quarter.
Tristan Okpalaugo returned an interception 21 yards for a score early in the third quarter to extend the Bulldogs’ lead to 26-17, but Quentin Breshears missed his second extra point of the game, which came back to haunt the Bulldogs.
Jaâ??Terian Douglas raced 32 yards for a first-quarter touchdown for Tulsa while Fresno State opened a 20-7 advantage after the opening quarter. Robbie Rouse scored on a 37-yard run as part of a 135-yard outing, Patrick Suâ??a intercepted a pass and returned it 20 yards for a touchdown and Derek Carr tossed a 32-yard touchdown pass to Josh Harper.
Daniel Schwarz kicked a 24-yard field goal to pull the Golden Hurricane within 20-17 and later kicked a 38-yarder before Watts connected with Roberson on the game-winning halfback pass.
