Two women were hospitalized this afternoon after a fire broke out in an apartment on the Northwest Side, fire officials said.
The fire was reported at 2:14 p.m. on the 1600 block of North Humboldt Boulevard, according to Chicago fire officials.
The fire resulted in a 53-year-old woman and a 69-year-old woman suffering from smoke inhalation, fire officials said.
The women were taken to Norwegian-American Hospital in good condition, fire officials said.
