Two minor leaguers suspended for amphetamines
Major League Baseball announced Friday that minor league players Ryan Acosta and Chris Retherford were suspended for violating the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Acosta is a free agent right-handed pitcher and Retherford is a free agent second baseman. They each received a 50-game suspension without pay for testing positive for an amphetamine.
