HOUSTON — Alejandro De Aza is fourth among Chicago White Sox players with eight home runs.
But that’s part of the problem, as the Sox have hit only 64 home runs and rank 13th in the American League in that category. They will try to snap a four-game losing streak Monday night at Houston.
The Sox (28-38) haven’t been 11 games under .500 since they were 11-22 on May 6, 2011.
In another matter, Double-A outfielder Trayce Thompson was named the Southern League hitter of the week for June 10-16. Thompson batted .435 (10-for-23) with three home runs, nine RBIs and five runs in six games.
