HOUSTON, Sept 12 (Reuters) – An alkylation unit at BP Plc’s

400,000 barrel-per-day (bpd) Whiting, Indiana, refinery

restarted on Thursday after repairs, sources familiar with

operations at the refinery said.

Energy industry intelligence service Genscape said the

alkylation unit resumed normal operations on Thursday morning.

A gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit remains

shut at the refinery as workers attempt to correct an

operational problem that developed on the unit earlier this

week, the sources said.
