The body of a man was found this morning in the South Branch of the Chicago River, officials said.
Chicago Police and Fire Department officials responded at about 9:20 a.m. to the 2600 block of South Ashland Avenue along the Chicago River, officials said.
Fire Department officials said the body of a man was recovered from the water. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
No other details were available.
