Louisville coach Rick Pitino said Thursday that American Athletic Conference preseason first-team pick Chane Behanan is suspended indefinitely for a violation of university policy.
Pitino did not elaborate on what policy Behanan violated.
Behanan will not play in November, but Pitino said there is a chance he could return in December.
“We’ve put together a situation where he can come back on the team, but he’s already missed one assignment in a short period,” Pitino said.
Behanan, a junior, averaged 9.8 points and 6.5 rebounds last season. He started 37 of the 39 games he played.
