A 23-year-old man walked into Mount Sinai Hospital with gunshot wounds and told police he had been shot on the West Side about 3 a.m., police said.

He told police he had been shot near Huron and Homan Avenues in the East Garfield Park neighborhood but it’s not clear if that’s where the shooting happened.

Police said the man told police someone stepped out of a car and opened fire but was otherwise uncooperative.
