SOCHI, Russia — Call it a perfect set.
Glenview’s Brian Hansen, an Olympic speedskater, finally got photographed with all 10 Blackhawks Olympians.
Hansen, 23, tweeted this Thursday: “BOOM! @88PKane! Met all 10 @NHLBlackhawks here at the Olympics! Do they give out medals for this?”
It took a few days to track down Patrick Kane, even though they’re staying in the same building. Hansen had joked Monday, “I’m going to go looking for him at the USA House at the bar.”
A silver medalist in team pursuit in 2010 who has competed in three events in Sochi, Hansen already knew a few of the Hawks but admitted he had to look up a couple to remember who they were.
The process was pretty simple: “I go up and say, ‘Hey, I’m Brian. I’m from Chicago. I’m a long-track speedskater, huge fan of you guys. Is there any way I can take my picture with you?’ “
