*A bag of newly-purchased home-maintenance items valued at $20 was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 8400 block of 163rd Street on March 21.
A 64-year-old Chicago Ridge woman was charged with retail theft for taking unspecified merchandise from the Super K Center, 16300 S. Harlem Ave., on March 20.
A 35-year-old Homer Glen woman was charged with driving on a suspended license and driving 15-20 mph above the speed limit March 20 on the 7900 block of 159th Street.
A Chicago resident discovered on March 20 that a credit card sent to his former residence in Tinley Park had been used without authorization to make numerous online purchases.
A resident whose personal information was used to file a fraudulent income tax return reported March 20 that he was advised by the IRS to file a paper return and notify credit-reporting agencies.
Two electronic devices with a cumulative value of $550 were stolen from a vehicle parked on the 8300 block of 164th Court on March 20.
A 30-year-old Tinley Park man and a 23-year-old Tinley Park man were charged with violating a local ordinance against disorderly conduct after propositioning a server at a restaurant on the 7100 block of 171st Street on March 19.
A silver metal ball the size of a pencil eraser smashed a double-pane window, valued at $500, at a home on the 17700 block of 65th Avenue on March 19.
A 20-year-old Lynwood woman was charged with driving on a suspended license, improper lane use and operating an uninsured motor vehicle March 19 on the 7300 block of 191st Street.
The rear window was broken out on a vehicle parked on the 7400 block of 161st Street on March 17.
A 39-year-old Justice man was charged with two counts of telephone harassment on March 16 after sending 150 text messages to his ex-wife and her current husband over a two-day period.
A 22-year-old Palos Hills man was charged with driving on a suspended license and disobeying a traffic control device March 16 at 159th Street and Oak Park Avenue.
The driver’s door was discovered dented March 16 on a car parked for several days in a friend’s driveway on the 8600 block of Brookside Glen Drive.
A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at the Speedway Gas Station, 7201 183rd St., on March 16.
New Lenox
*A 48-year-old New Lenox man was charged with driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle March 25 at Argyle Lake and Jackson Branch Drive.
An unattended purse was stolen from an unspecified location on March 25.
A 33-year-old Chicago woman was charged with driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with expired registration March 25 on the 18000 block of U.S. Route 30.
A customer’s unattended wallet was stolen at AJ’s Restaurant, 300 block of West U.S. Route 30, on March 24.
A fraudulent check was cashed at Wal-Mart, 501 E. U.S. Route 30, on March 24.
Two 18-year-old Joliet males were charged with retail theft for stealing unspecified merchandise from Wal-Mart, 501 E. U.S. Route 30, on March 24.
Four campaign signs — two at a polling station on the 19000 block of S. Schoolhouse Road — were stolen from a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives on March 18.
A 52-inch television was stolen from a home on the 15000 block of West Spencer Road on March 21.
Frankfort
*A 21-year-old Sauk Village man was charged with obstructing justice, driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle March 24 at Lincoln Highway and 84th Avenue.
Unspecified items were taken during a March 22 break-in at a home on the 9900 block of Folkers Drive.
A 57-year-old Park Forest woman was charged with violating a local shoplifting ordinance for stealing unspecified merchandise from a store on the 20600 block of LaGrange Road on March 21.
A 31-year-old Wilmington man was charged with possession of a controlled substance and depositing material on a highway March 21 at Lincoln Highway and Harlem Avenue.
A 23-year-old New Lenox man was charged with violating a local shoplifting ordinance for taking unspecified merchandise from a store on the 1100 block of Lincoln Highway on March 20.
A 27-year-old Frankfort man was charged with driving a vehicle with suspended registration, improper use of registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle March 17 on LaGrange Road at Lincoln Highway.
