has signed on to co-produce the four-hour
miniseries “
,” set to bow on the cabler late this year.
Drama penned by Guy Hibbert (“Complicit”) revolves around the story of a Chinese woman’s struggle for her identity after she’s adopted by British parents. Katie Leung, an alum of “Harry Potter” pics, is set to star.
SundanceTV is co-producing with BBC. It’s the third such miniseries partnership between the AMC Networks cabler and the Beeb, following its success with Jane Campion’s “Top of the Lake,” and the upcoming Maggie Gyllenhaal starrer “The Honorable Woman.”
The project beefs up SundanceTV’s growing slate of originals for 2014, which include the new drama series “The Red Road,” season two of “Rectify” and the mini “Honorable Woman.”
“One Child” will lense in London and Taiwan. Hilary Salmon is producing for BBC Prods.
