Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the man who sexually assaulted a jogger at gunpoint in the Marquette Park neighborhood.
The 19-year-old woman was jogging in the 6500 block of South Artesian Avenue, just north of the park, shortly after midnight Wednesday when a man in a black hoodie approached, police said.
The man pulled out a gun and forced the woman into a gangway, where he assaulted her, police said.
A community alert released by police describes the man as black, 5-foot-1 to 5-foot-3, weighing between 140 and 160 pounds. Police said the hoodie had letters on the front.
Anyone with information can contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
