SEVILLA – Salvamento Marítimo y la Guardia Civil de España rescataron hoy en aguas del Estrecho de Gibraltar a un total de 227 inmigrantes que trataban de alcanzar la península desde Marruecos en 23 embarcaciones.

Según informó Salvamento Marítimo, de los 227 inmigrantes, en su mayoría subsaharianos, 27 eran mujeres y tres menores, y todos ellos fueron llevados a Tarifa, en la provincia sureña de Cádiz.

Todos los rescates de los tripulantes de estas embarcaciones empleadas por los inmigrantes, en su mayoría pequeñas balsas neumáticas, fueron efectuados por Salvamento Marítimo, salvo uno, llevado a cabo por una patrullera de la Guardia Civil.

Estos inmigrantes se suman a los 84 recatados este fin de semana en aguas del Estrecho.

Las buenas previsiones meteorológicas han impulsado en los últimos días a decenas de inmigrantes subsaharianos indocumentados que se encuentran en Marruecos a cruzar el Estrecho de Gibraltar para alcanzar el territorio español.
