Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

TV/Radio: 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium; NBC-5, WLS-AM 890.

Records: Notre Dame 2-0, Purdue 1-1.

Line: Notre Dame by 271/2.

Last meeting: Notre Dame won 31-24 on Sept. 14, 2013 in West Lafayette, Ind.

On the offensive: This could be the game for Notre Dame to get its running game in gear after only having 54 yards rushing last week. But also expect Everett Golson to continue his upward trajectory in the Heisman race.

Getting defensive: The Irish defense was the toast of campus after shutting out Michigan. But Brian Kelly said this week the unit made 34 mental errors in the game. Not overlooking Purdue and correcting those errors is paramount, no matter if Danny Etling or Austin Appleby is at quarterback for Purdue.

The number: 11. True freshmen Notre Dame has played so far this season.

The talk: Will the Irish avoid a letdown against the Boilermakers? Notre Dame has needed the fourth quarter to subdue Purdue each of the last two years despite Boilermakers having a combined record of 7-18 during that time.

Chris Hine’s pick: Even though Purdue has a track record of keeping it close against Notre Dame, this one won’t be. Notre Dame has too much confidence right now, while the Boilermakers lost to Central Michigan a week ago. Notre Dame should put this away early.

Notre Dame 44, Purdue 13.
