The following information was taken from Elmhurst police reports:

A 19-year-old Elmhurst man was arrested Sept. 18 on a warrant from Bensenville for aggravated assault and mob action. He was located at his home in the 700 block of North Willow Road.

A 21-year-old Lombard woman was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and failing to yield at a railroad crossing during a traffic stop Sept. 18 at St. Charles Road and Hawthorne Street.

A 40-year-old Bellwood man was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver during a traffic stop Sept. 18 in the 400 block of West Lake St. Police found he had seven grams of a substance that appeared to be heroin and packaging.

An 18-year-old Addison man was charged Sept. 19 with consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of alcohol by a minor. The man was highly intoxicated at a pizzeria in the 600 block of North Avenue.

A man was found sleeping in a portable toilet at Crestview Park Sept. 19. Police found that the man was a registered juvenile sex offender. The man told police he was locked out of his apartment and had to find a place to sleep. The man was not charged, but was told to leave the area.

An American flag and pole were reported stolen from a house in the 100 block of South Poplar Street between Sept. 18 and Sept. 19.

A 59-year-old Westchester man was charged with retail theft Sept. 19 for taking a brownie pie and three promotional T-shirts from an Oberweis Dairy in the 1000 block of South York Road.

A $100 counterfeit bill was passed at a store in the 100 block of South York Street. The bill was used to pay for a $3.81 Lemon Freeze.

A 34-year-old Bensenville woman was charged with drunken driving, driving without headlights, possession of cannabis, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving in the wrong lane during a traffic stop Sept. 21.

A 55-year-old Elwood Park woman was charged Sept. 8 with driving with a suspended license and failure to dim lights during a traffic stop North Avenue and Illinois Highway 83.

A 33-year-old Romeoville man was charged Sept. 8 with driving with an expired license and having no insurance during a traffic stop at North Avenue and Indiana Street.

A 23-year-old Elmhurst woman was charged with disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis Sept. 8. A resident of the 400 block of Spring Road told police she arrived home to find a bedroom window open and a screen ripped. Police found the 23-year-old woman’s purse just outside the window. She told police she believes she entered the wrong apartment when she was intoxicated through the bedroom window because she thought it was her own apartment.

A 33-year-old Chicago man was charged Sept. 8 with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, and improper display of a registration plate. Police found a gram of cannabis, a grinder and a glass smoking pipe in his car during a traffic stop at Illinois Highway 83 and the Eisenhower Expressway.

A 56-year-old Elmhurst man was charged Sept. 8 with public intoxication and possession of alcohol in public. The man was lying in a walking path at Elmhurst Avenue and Avon Street. He was charged again on Sept. 11 with disorderly conduct for sleeping in a public way in the 200 block of North Hampshire Street.

A 20-year-old Maywood man was charged Sept. 11 with possession of cannabis, speeding and failing to signal during a traffic stop at Butterfield Road and Kirk Street. A passenger in the car, a 23-year-old Melrose Park man, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of a controlled substance.

A 28-year-old DesPlaines woman was charged with drunken driving Sept. 13.

A 54-year-old Elmwood Park man was charged with public urination Sept. 13 at Lake and Walnut Streets.
