A firefighter suffered minor injuries while battling an extra-alarm fire in a two-story commercial building in the Little Village neighborhood on the West Side this morning, officials said.

The blaze started around 5:39 a.m. in the 4000 block of West Ogden Avenue and was raised to a 3-11 alarm, according to Police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic. The building was reported to be unoccupied, she said.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries, according to Chicago Fire Chief Joe Roccasalva.

The fire was brought under control by 8 a.m. and had not spread to other buildings on the block, fire officials said.

The building housed a banquet hall on the second floor and a recording studio on the first floor, Roccasalva said.

West Cermak Road, South Pulaski Road and West Ogden Avenue were closed in the area of the fire, Sedevic said.

CTA buses going through the area were rerouted, Sedevic said.
