ROCKFORD, Ill. — Mired in a slump with just one win in their last five games, a little Thanksgiving turkey was just what the Chicago Wolves needed.

The Wolves rallied twice and notched the game-winning goal with 11 seconds remaining in overtime to take down the league-leading Rockford IceHogs 4-3 Friday night at BMO Harris Bank Center.

Defenseman Brent Regner notched the winning tally 6:49 into the extra session after forward Colin Fraser tied the game with 1:06 remaining in regulation. The win gave the Wolves (12-6-3-0) an important two points in theMidwest Division battle.

American Hockey League leading scorer Ty Rattie kicked things off with a goal 1:49 into the contest, giving the visitors an early lead.

Rockford (15-4-1-1) answered back with two of their own in the second period from Pierre-Cedric Labrie and Jamie Wise, but Wolves forward Shane Harper knotted the score 2-2 late in the frame.

Brandon Mashinter gave the IceHogs the lead for most of the third period with his goal at 6:22 before Chicago‘s equalizer and eventual game-winner.

Wolves goaltender Matt Climie (6-4-2) made a season-high 37 saves while IceHogs netminder Scott Darling (8-2-1) kicked out 24.
