A man was robbed at gunpoint while he was using an ATM in Franklin Park on Jan. 4, police say.

The man, 19, was making a deposit at 11:38 p.m. at Chase Bank, 2850 Mannheim Road, when a white man wearing a ski mask and camouflage sweater approached.

“Sorry I am going to do this but I need all your money,” said the masked man, according to Franklin Park police reports.

The victim thought about driving away but then robber then lifted his sweater and showed a silver handgun tucked in his pants. The victim then handed over $200.

The robber got into a silver minivan parked in front of the bank. The victim pulled in front of the robber’s vehicle but the robber maneuvered around, striking the victim’s vehicle before driving off. The silver minivan was last seen heading west on Grand Avenue from Mannheim.
