The following items were taken from Glenview police reports:
A snow-removal service from Skokie was paid $300 by a resident in the 1600 block of Blackthorn Drive, but reportedly did not show up to the plow the driveway of the home. The resident’s calls were not returned as of Jan. 12.
A cell phone valued at $350 was reported stolen during an early-morning party at a home in the 3600 block of Glenview Road. The resident reported to police that some people had been at a party there during the time of the theft at 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 6.
A customer who witnessed a theft on Jan. 6 and took photographs of the thief’s vehicle told police a man took nine bottles of alcohol worth $305 from a store in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road and entered the passenger seat of a silver Chevy Impala driven by another man.
Fraudulent credit card charges of $10,000 were made in Uganda and India and an additional $1,800 in fraudulent charges were made in New York to second card on Jan. 6, according to a resident in the 3000 block of Springdale Avenue who said the charges were made to a spouse’s credit cards that were still in their possession.
Five men walked into a business in the 2800 block of Pfingsten Road on Jan. 6 at 11:16 p.m. One of the men took two items from a shelf in the electronics area and walked toward the front door. An employee confronted the man and asked him to pay for the item but the five men left the store without paying and drove away in an older-model white minivan. The loss was estimated at $90.
A 29-year-old Chicago man was arrested Jan. 6 and charged with residential burglary after the investigation of an incident that occurred on Oct. 1 in the 3600 block of Winnetka Road.
A 25-year-old Glenview man was arrested Jan. 6 in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road and charged with theft, resisting arrest of a peace officer and criminal damage to property.
A man claiming to be the grandson of a resident in the 1100 block of Pam Anne Drive called claiming he had been arrested in the Dominican Republic and needed $1,059 to be sent so he could be released, it was reported Jan. 6. The resident did not send the money.
Someone wrote on the back of a door in the men’s restroom at the Glenview train Station, 1116 Depot St., on Jan. 7, causing an estimated $100 in damage.
An 18-year-old Evanston man was arrested Jan. 7 and charged with possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for operating a vehicle with an expired registration along the 500 block of East Lake Avenue.
A cell phone valued at $200 was reported stolen Jan. 7 after being left behind at a business in the 900 block of Waukegan Road.
A resident found a knife on the kitchen floor of a home in the 1800 block of Chestnut Avenue Jan. 8 after leaving for work at 7 a.m. and returning at 7 p.m. The house had been completely secured.
A child received a harassing text message from an unknown person but the child did not respond, as reported Jan. 8 by a resident in the 1800 block of Colfax Avenue.
Cash, jewelry and other items valued at $77,000 were reported stolen Jan. 9 after a home was burglarized in the 2400 block of Indigo Lane between 10:30 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. Access was made through the garage door.
A wallet was stolen from the purse of a customer in the 1800 block of Tower Drive Jan. 9 and later that day, the thief tried to make three large purchases with the credit card but was denied. The estimated loss was $200.
A commuter sticker valued at $400 was reported stolen Jan. 10 from the back window of a car parked at the North Glen Train Station, 2301 Lehigh Ave.
A vehicle drove over the front lawn of a home in the 1000 block of Church Street Jan. 10, causing an estimated $200 in damage to the grass.
A 54-year-old Glenview man was arrested Jan. 11 and charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia in the 500 block of Waukegan Road.
A 22-year-old Chicago woman was arrested Jan. 11 and charged in connection with a retail theft in the 2200 block of Willow Road.
A coat, jogging pants, work boots and a wallet with a total value of $250 were reported stolen Jan. 12 from a locked locker at LA Fitness, 3880 Willow Road.
A 53-year-old Glenview man was arrested Jan. 12 at 12:35 a.m. and charged with battery after punching a taxi driver in the 100 block of Glenview Road.
A 29-year-old Waukegan man was arrested Jan. 13 and charged with harassment by electronic communication in the 2500 block of East Lake Avenue.
