The Orland Park-based Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation will hold its sixth annual Treasuring Our Kids “A Night on the Town” fundraiser from 6 to 10 p.m. Aug. 22 at Beverly Country Club, at 87th Street and Western Avenue, Chicago, according to a release from the foundation.

There will be dining, dancing, raffles, and silent and live auctions, and attendees can hear a heartwarming story by Armando De La Osa, the honorary chair’s father, about his daughter MaKayla, the release said.

Prizes include four one-day park hopper passes for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.; four round-trip tickets from Southwest Airlines; a jersey signed by Blackhawks star Jonathan Toews; and an overnight stay with breakfast at De Soto House Hotel, a bed and breakfast in Galena, the release said.

Advance tickets are $65 for adults and $30 for kids under 12. Ticket prices at the door will be $75 for adults and $35 for kids, the release said.

The Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation is a nonprofit that provides toys, gifts or gift cards to cancer-stricken children in 49 hospitals nationwide to comfort and distract them from painful procedures, the release said. CEO Colleen Kisel founded the organization in 1996 after her then-7-year-old son Martin had been diagnosed with leukemia in 1993, the release said. Martin recently celebrated his 22nd anniversary of remission from the disease, it said.
