Evanston native Donald Kujawinski’s business card lists over a dozen jobs his business, Unique Sheet Metal and Roofing, will perform. Counting snow plowing, he’s pretty much busy year round.

Q. Where did you grow up?

A. Crain Street and Florence Avenue.

Q. Favorite early hangout?

A. Lee Street Beach. You could stay there all night until the cops kicked you out.

Q. Favorite eating place in those days?

A. Gigio’s. (Gigio’s Pizzeria, 1001 Davis St.) They used to make the pizza in the window next door.

Q. A sublime feeling?

A. Late night pizza after (partying). That was the best.

Q. Tip to homeowners?

A. Keep your gutters clean twice a year, spring and fall. (Not doing so) causes ice and snow backing up. I’ve got people who haven’t cleaned their gutters in years and then they wonder why it costs so much to fix.

Q. Hobbies?

A. Boats and wave running.

Q. Cub hopes?

A. I’ve got Harry Caray in the backfield. It’s been a long wait.
