No one was injured in a house fire that broke out in a single-family home in River Grove Monday afternoon, and the cause of the blaze was still under investigation, according to the River Grove Fire Department.

Crews were called to a one-story home in the 2400 block of Davisson Street about 2:50 p.m. and found a fully-involved fire with no one inside the house.

Neighboring fire departments from Elmwood Park, Franklin Park, Leyden and Melrose Park were called in to assist with the blaze.

The fire was contained inside the home and did not spread to any neighboring properties, according to information from the fire department.

River Grove fire officials were still working to determine the cause of the blaze, and more information was expected to be released Tuesday morning by River Grove Fire Chief Larry LaRiviere.
