A 51-year-old man was stabbed to death in Bronzeville early Monday, police said.
He was on a back porch at an apartment building in the 4500 block of South Drexel Boulevard about 12:30 a.m. when someone tried to rob him. The two began to struggle, and the would-be robber stabbed the man in the chest.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene. Police are conducting a homicide investigation.
