To the commenter who said if Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton gets elected, they might as well take down the American flag and send up a white one for surrender: Are you kidding me? You better pray Hillary gets elected. If we have that idiot Republican candidate Donald Trump in there, God only knows what will happen in this country. Women will be back to wearing pearl necklaces and dresses, and serving coffee and bending down to their husbands. If Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders gets in, we might as well move to Russia. He’s a socialist. You’re probably a typical man who doesn’t want a woman as president but, sorry buddy, it looks like she’s going to get it.

I’d like to ask all the rich and famous politicians in the United States: When is enough enough of all these immigrants coming to America? Who’s going to pay them? We have Americans that have lived here, paid taxes here and died here for their country. When is enough enough? We cannot take on the world and bring these immigrants in. We have Americans losing homes and losing jobs, and our jobs are going foreign. When is enough enough? How about you rich politicians pay for the immigrants coming over? U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin is one of those rich politicians. President Barack Obama is one of them. It’s disgusting.

I’m tired of people bemoaning the fact that poor Rod Blagojevich got a longer prison term than other politicians. So what? I think any politician who misuses the powers of their office deserves whatever sentence they get. The other politicians he is compared to pleaded guilty to charges. This is how they, like any other criminal, got lower sentences. Blago still thinks he did nothing wrong. This is why his sentence is longer. It seems that some people don’t care if politicians are crooks.

I find it amusing when I read articles your reporters write and the coverage on the TV about all the negative things that Donald Trump has done in his life. The vetting process for Mr. Trump is going to be intense, like we have never seen, unlike the almost zero vetting process that the media did for Obama.

The war on e-cigarettes is a fraud. Nicotine is a cheap stimulant and anti-depressant. It is the poor man’s drug of choice. Big Pharma loses billions because nicotine is a cheap substitute for their overpriced anti-depressant drugs. This is another example of crony capitalism operated by government and big business.

Would all of the companies that send out free return address stickers please stop sending them. I shred or burn them, I do not need them. You are wasting paper, trees, postage, ink and time. I have enough stickers to go from Maine to California if lined up end to end.
