The 13th annual Taste of Orland Park car show expects to draw 300 to 400 classic, custom and current cars on Sunday, August 7th in what will be one of the summer’s largest area car shows.

As the culminating act of a three-day festival of food, live entertainment, family fun and a raffle in the Village Center, the car show features rods, customs, vintage, classic ands special interest cars. Eight classes include pre-49, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000 & up.

Dash plaques go to the first 100 entries. Seventy-five different awards will be made including Best of Show, Best in Class, Best Engine, Best Paint, Best Chevy, Best GM, Best Ford and Best Mopar.

The Village of Orland Park has invited all Vietnam Veterans to a special welcome home concert. On Sunday, a free concert featuring Creedence Revived, a Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band, will be held at the main stage.

There’s parking on the grass with plenty of room for a tent. The entry fee for registered vehicles is $20. Gates open at 9:00 a.m. There’s same day registration up to noon and an awards program at 4:00 p.m. Enter the show grounds via 147th and West Ave. just two blocks off Ravinia Ave.
