The East Aurora High School band is inviting alumni to perform with current members to help celebrate “100 years of band in District 131,” according to the district.

The performance will be at a football game against South Elgin Oct. 21.

“We want our alumni to join us,” Band Director Brian Liska said in a statement. “It doesn’t matter if they played last week, last year or last decade, they are welcome on the field with us.”

Rehearsal for the performance will take place at East Aurora High School before the game. The game and performance will be at Aurora Christian School, because the high school’s old stadium has been torn down and a new stadium is under construction.

Rehearsal will begin at 4 p.m. in the East Aurora High School auditorium, and alumni will meet current band members at Aurora Christian School at 6:45 p.m. Dinner will be served.

Information about the event and a complete schedule for the evening are available at www.d131.org. Band alumni can register for the event at www.d131music.org.
