
Voting in Aurora’s primary has already started with the beginning of early voting a few days ago.
People ready to vote in the Feb. 28 mayoral primary can do so at the Aurora Election Commission offices, 323 W. Galena Blvd.
Early voting hours are, through Feb. 17, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with no weekend hours.
But the office will be open for early voting from 9 a.m. to noon, Feb. 18, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 19.
The office will be open for early voting from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Feb. 20 through Feb. 24.
There will be more weekend hours, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Feb. 25 and 26. And the polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Feb. 27.
Official Election Day is the next day, Feb. 28, when people can vote at their normal polling place.
For Aurora voters in DuPage County, they can vote from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the DuPage County Election Commission offices, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton.
Voting also will be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday and Feb. 11; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Feb. 18 and 25; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Feb. 19 and 26.
For Will and Kendall County residents who are in the city of Aurora, they should vote at the Aurora Election Commission offices.
The Election Commission also is the place for early voting for the Aurora Township Democratic Party primary. For those who live in the township, but outside the city and thus Election Commission boundaries, they would vote through the Kane County Clerk’s office, 719 S. Batavia Ave., Building B, in Geneva.
The office will be open for voting from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through January and into early February. By Feb. 13, the schedule changes.
Voting in Geneva would be: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Feb. 13, 14, 16, 17 and 27; 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Feb. 15; 9 a.m. to noon, Feb. 18; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 19; 8:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Feb. 20 to 24; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 25; 10. a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 26.
There will be early voting from 9:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Feb. 20 and 21, at Montgomery Village Hall, 200 N. River St.
The Kane County Clerk’s votemobile also will be out for early voting. Times and locations are: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 13 and 15, at the Jewel-Osco, 1952 W. Galena Blvd., Aurora; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 16 and 17, at the North Aurora Police Department, 200 S. Lincolnway.
