Registration for 2017-18 Oak Park kindergarten students is set to begin this month, with a new twist on the registration process, officials recently announced.
Instead of having parents or guardians make appointments online, they can now choose from four upcoming dates to have their documents processed.
According to registrar Sherrie Green, parents can visit the District 97 Administration Building, 260 Madison St., between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. March 9 or March 16, or visit between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. March 21 or April 6.
Parents or guardians should bring each child’s official birth certificate (hospital birth certificates not accepted), a parent ID, a lease or home ownership document, three pieces of mail (utility bills, vehicle or voter registration card, insurances, etc.) and current physical and immunization information. Custody documents should also be provided, if applicable.
More information about the process, as well as a list of acceptable documents, is available at www.op97.org.
