Organizers of the annual “Breakfast with Bunny and Easter Egg Hunt” over the weekend in Barrington said they were thankful for the weather.

During the Easter-themed breakfast and egg hunt Saturday, participants met under clear skies in Langendorf Park at Barrington Park District’s main building, said Barbara Perkes, district information and events coordinator.

The event ultimately drew about 125 to the catered breakfast and another 100 people to the outdoor egg hunt, she said.

“We got lucky because Mother Nature cooperated. It was sunny and 55 degrees,” Perkes said.

Two-year-old triplets Kailey, Brooklyn and Maggie Wenig wait before the start of the egg hunt during the “Breakfast with the Bunny” event at Langendorf Park in Barrington.

She said breakfast at the district’ main building was crowded with families, meaning officials could start discussing a possible move to a larger venue for future events.

“We’re thinking about a bigger space somewhere,” Perkes said. “The park district works very hard at making sure this is a memorable and fun event for kids.”
